Sedimentary rocks

There are 3 different types of rocks: sedimentary, igneous, and metamorphic rocks. Beginning with sedimentary rocks, these form by the deposition and subsequent sedimentation of minerals and organic matter. If sediment is buried deeply, it becomes sedimentary rock. These are some examples of gems that are formed from sedimentary rocks: turquoise from Arizona, USA and malachite from Congo, Africa.
